Week 5

This is my fifth week of my Introduction to Digital Art and Media class. This week was a very informative one full of knowledge. My favorite assignment I did this week was my photography categories assignment. We learned about the many different types of photography, like fine art portraiture, conceptual, nature, landscape, architectural, still life, street, and product photography. I really enjoyed doing this assignment because with the new techniques of photography that I learned, I took pictures using these techniques, and to be honest, I really liked how the pictures turned out, and I feel like while doing this assignment, I looked more into the pictures and noticed details I hadn’t noticed before about what categories these pictures would fit into. After selecting the pictures I needed, I then transferred them into Adobe Spark where I then finished my assignment. Also, we learned about the future and past in the world of photography and how it has changed then and now and in the future and for the better. To be honest, I'm very excited for the future of photography. This week we also learned about a few digital art artists, such as Charles Cisuri, whose computer work was out of this world amazing; Paul Smith, who used a typewriter to create art; and Jia Jia Fei. Her message was so strong and interesting. I find it very interesting the way social media influences art. These were just some of the artists that I learned about this week. Lastly, I also learned about the Center for Creative Photography. I would also like to visit the museum and learn more about photography and its history. Talking about the museum in its discussion was really cool, learning about diversity and how sports connects us all. Overall it was a very fun and informative week, and I can't wait to see what I'll learn next.
