Week 3

This is my third week of my Introduction to Digital Art and Media class. This week was a very interesting one, crammed with knowledge. We learned about Mathew Carter and his career and the faces he has created. He also talks about typography and its changes, how it has evolved. I find it very interesting and amusing, to be honest. We actually learned about many more artists like Jeffry Shaw, Simon Jr., and Erwin Redl. Erwin Redl is an Australian artist that has very amusing and just mind-blowing art, if you ask me. The way he uses light to create such beautiful work is just breathtaking to me. It truly gives you another perspective of a whole different type of art many of us didn't know of. We also learned this week about the elements of art and what it takes to create art. The color, lines, texture, form, and shape. We also learned about its principles, like movement, proportion, contrast, and rhythm. We also learned how to use these elements with Adobe Capture. This was such a fun assignment and informational at the same time. I learned to use Adobe Capture to transform images using different options such as colors, brushes, and graphics. Using Adobe Capture, I used the shapes, looks, and patterns to transform my image into five different versions from the original. Which I then later put together using Adobe Express to form a video explaining my image and its meaning. Overall this week was very fun and interesting; I can't wait to see what new creative challenges are coming.
