Week 4

This is my third week of my Introduction to Digital Art and Media class. This week was a very informative one, crammed with knowledge. We learned about different types of devices we can use to do different types of art. We also learned about the different cameras there are and the many uses they have. I liked how the prices for the cameras were provided along with affordable options in case we can't get the pricier ones. I also learned about the different types of software we will be using for this course, which I am nervous about since I have never used any of these programs before. We also learned about the evolution of technology, which is very shocking to know due to how advanced it is now. This week I also got to create a Behance account and learned about similar platforms like Shutterfly, Flickr, and SmugMug to upload art to. In this week's assignment I learned about capture patterns, shapes & looks. This assignment was one of my favorites; it was very fun, and I ...

Week 3

This is my third week of my Introduction to Digital Art and Media class. This week was a very interesting one, crammed with knowledge. We learned about Mathew Carter and his career and the faces he has created. He also talks about typography and its changes, how it has evolved. I find it very interesting and amusing, to be honest. We actually learned about many more artists like Jeffry Shaw, Simon Jr., and Erwin Redl. Erwin Redl is an Australian artist that has very amusing and just mind-blowing art, if you ask me. The way he uses light to create such beautiful work is just breathtaking to me. It truly gives you another perspective of a whole different type of art many of us didn't know of. We also learned this week about the elements of art and what it takes to create art. The color, lines, texture, form, and shape. We also learned about its principles, like movement, proportion, contrast, and rhythm. We also learned how to use these elements with Adobe Capture...

Week 2

This is my second week of my Introduction to Digital Art and Media class. This week was a very interesting one, and I gained a lot of knowledge. We learned about plagiarism and its consequences. But also how to correctly copy and write my work with the information provided. Something new about copyrights that I personally never knew is how easy it is for you to copyright your own work and that it's not as expensive as I initially thought it would be; it's actually pretty cheap. This week was not just full of knowledge but also very fun exploring the Guggenheim Museum. Learning about its beautiful structure and its art on the inside. Personally for me this was one of the most interesting assignments yet. It was my first time looking into a digital art museum, and honestly now I would like to visit it; now it would be a great experience. Lastly, I also learned how to use Adobe Express and create my own little story. For my first time using Adobe Express, I hope I did well. T...

Week 1

This is my first week of my Introduction to Digital Art and Media class. This week was a very interesting one, although it is my first week in this course. The first thing I did in this class was to introduce myself to my classmates through a discussion post in Canvas, which made me realize that there are students in my class that are interested in some of the things I am also interested in. Another one of my assignments for the course was the virtual museum field trip. Personally, I really enjoyed this assignment, as I actually visited Japan earlier this year, and it made me reminisce back to my trip. Therefore, proving that digital art really is art because you connect to it just as I did. This really impacted my life positively, as now I know that art can be achieved through different forms, as I learned by the modules. Now due to this assignment, I feel the need to go back to Japan to experience this art museum in person; it's such a bummer I didn't go when I was there. Ov...
